“We want to convey the rhythm of Priorat, the rhythm of the broken and cracked slate (llicorella). To reveal the minerality and spirituality that, given the special and unique conditions, only the wines of Priorat display.”
Albert Jané brings his vast experience to Priorat, one of Spain’s most prized regions, creating intense, full-bodied wines as rugged and dusty as the landscape. Their focus on indigenous varietals is part of a welcome new movement back to the ancient region’s roots. Some of Ritme’s estate vines are over 100 years old and have very low yields, making their wines intensely concentrated and mineral. Stick to big, bold flavors that will stand up to the tannins, and definitely avoid spice.
