Marc Plouzeau is a true pioneer of Organic Farming in Chinon, though these days the Loire Valley is a fantastic place to find “natural wine.” The Plouzeau family has been grateful stewards of Château de la Bonnelière starting in 1846, but not since. Who knows what happened in that missing century but thankfully 1980 allowed Pierre Plouzeau to repurchase his family’s land and he began the world of replanting. Marc converted everything to Organic in 1999, and continues to this day to produce high quality wines with precise typicity of varietal and microclimate.
