Luigi Giordano is a small, family-run winery in the village of Barbaresco, founded in the 1930s and still rooted in tradition today. At a time when Barbaresco was dominated by established growers, Luigi’s bold decision to bottle his own wine challenged convention and paved the way for independent producers. Now led by Luigi’s daughter Laura and grandson Matteo, the estate farms seven hectares across some of the region’s most respected vineyard sites. Their Vino Rosso is a rare, Piedmontese co-ferment of Nebbiolo and Arneis—two native grapes not typically found in the same bottle. It's fresh, lifted, and meant to be served with a slight chill. All of the fruit comes from estate vineyards in Barbaresco, making it both unique and unusually high pedigree for a weekday red. A true outlier in the Langhe, this wine is a nod to the family's independent spirit and ongoing sense of curiosity.
