With a centuries old history in the tiny village of Celles-sur-Ource, Jean Laurent is the 3rd generation of this family’s pursuit to produce terroir-driven Champagne. Sustainable Agriculture is paramount for Jean; careful limits on vineyard treatments, solar panels to generate the winery’s electricity, and using reclaimed rainwater for winery operations are all ways that Jean gives back to the land and community for future generations. 

This is a style called Blanc de Noirs, or white from black. A white sparkling wine made only from black (red) grapes. The result tends toward the fuller/fleshier fruit experience.

Grape: Pinot Noir 100%

Region: Celles-sur-Ource, Côte des Bar, Aube, Champagne, France

Farming: Sustainable, 30-60 year old vines

Winery: Fermentation and vinification in stainless, 5 vintage blend, aged minimum 30 months on lees, 9g/l dosage
