itä wines -- Crisp Semillon 1 of 2

I am giddy with excitement at this project, a refreshing change from your typical Washington State wine. itä wines are lighter bodied wines with racy acidity, and founder/winemaker Kelsey Albro Itämeri’s low-impact winemaking styles reflects that via early pick dates, a restrained use of oak, and minimal fining/filtration in the winery. I’ve never tasted anything like it from Washington State and I am thrilled to think that we might begin to see more diversity in our incredible home state.

This Semillon is, as the name suggests, one of a pair of Semillons she created to show the range of style for this respected but seldom planted grape. 1 of 2 is lighter, crisper, and leaner than its sister.
