This is some seriously old school Bordeaux-style wine (hence the throwback ‘90s style label), that apparently is the current style for Cab from Oregon. Who knew there even was Oregon (albeit just across the WA border) Cabernet Sauvignon, let alone one that so complex that it actually begs to be dry farmed, as irrigation would completely dilute the small berries whose flavors are intense with exotic aromas. Owner/winemaker Jeff Vejr has truly begun something special in Oregon with the Golden Cluster projects.
