Felsner -- Zweigelt ‘Ried Thalland’
Felsner -- Zweigelt ‘Ried Thalland’
Manfred Felsner is not your average bear, taking deep pride in and passion for his corner of Austria, and aging his wines in ancient barrels deep under ground in his family’s nearly 500 year old cellar. Resisting change and modernity at every turn, his wines are old school and we love him for it! Characterized by the importer as “as honest and hardworking as they come,” we feel fantastic about securing a few cases of his Zweigelt and Sankt Laurent for wine club. Head of the family estate since 1990, his wines are traditional, fruity, minerally, and always with a “less is more” attitude.
This vineyard, Thalland, was first mentioned in texts in 1120 AD!
