A family operation in the world’s prized regions for Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre & Pouilly Fumé. Michelle and Jean-Michel began this work in 1975, but the estate has been in operation for 7 generations and their children have now joined them in their work.
While geographically very near, Sauvignon Blancs from Pouilly-Fumé are often a bit rounder and fuller than their Sancerre counterparts, and lean into the apple and stone fruits rather than the grassy and citrusy experience we get from many classic Sancerres. Both are perfect in my book, and it’s fun to try the different styles!
Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc 100%
Good To Know: Organic, 30-55 year old vines in classic Silex (flint) soil, ferment in stainless on lees, low SO2, vegan
