Jean-Yves Devevey. A farmer’s farmer. In it for the passion. After poring meticulously over details in the vineyard and winery, who has time for self-promotion? Boy can I relate. So how would we ever find out about such a guy and his vines anyway? That’s why I love working with small importers who take the time, as I do, to source hard to find wine from all corners of the globe. Burgundy has no shortage of wine producers, yet we still have room to be surprised by producers like Devevey. Working Organically since 2014, and with some Biodynamic experimentation, Jean-Yves produces wines of place and precision.
