Domaine de Chênepierre -- Chénas Vieille Vignes
“Our desire is to continue to preserve this heritage, this artisanal know-how to create wines rich in emotions.”
Well, anyone who knows me knows I’m emotional, and apparently so is this wine! Match made in heaven. Christophe Lapierre currently watches over the land that his grandfather planted in 1944. While his “flashiness” factor is lacking, that’s not really what we are here for – Christophe’s wines are some of the most delicious and authentic Beaujolais you’ll ever taste. All estate fruit, and very hands-off in the winery, this is a charming red that isn’t so little! Chénas is the smallest Cru of Beaujolais, with wines rarely imported to the US. Super rare.
