The Credaro family has been rooted in Western Australia’s Margaret River since 1922, when Cesare Credaro immigrated from Italy and planted his first Fragola vines. With only a broadaxe, a jersey cow, and a parcel of land, he laid the foundation for four generations of farming, winemaking, and family life. What began as a humble operation has grown into a thriving, multigenerational estate. Today, Cesare’s descendants carry on the legacy, farming with a focus on biodiversity and regenerative practices in the cool, coastal climate that defines the region. Still family-run and family-driven, the Credaros honor traditions like annual sausage-making at Woolston Farm – a ritual started by Cesare’s son Albert – and live by values of hard work, curiosity, and kinship that have guided them for over a century.
