Château Montlandrie sits on the limestone-rich, south-facing plateau of Castillon – an often-overlooked corner of Bordeaux. Founded in the 1800s by an Italian family, the estate remained quiet until legendary vigneron Denis Durantou – known for L’Église Clinet – sensed its promise and purchased it in 2009, bringing his elegant & restrained approach to Merlot and adding Cabernet Sauvignon for structure. Farming Organically with precision, the team captures Castillon’s freshness, minerality, and sensuous textures in small-batch vinification that delivers serious Right Bank character without the sky-high price tag. After Denis’s untimely passing in 2020, his three daughters – Constance, Noëmie, and Alix – have taken up the mantle, honoring his legacy while elevating this hidden gem.
