Jean Perrier et Fils -- Caveau Savoyard Pinot Noir
Jean Perrier et Fils -- Caveau Savoyard Pinot Noir
Founded in 1853, Caveau Savoyard is currently run by the 7th generation of the Perrier Family. While their growth over the years has indeed made them the largest estate vineyard in this small region of Savoie (62 hectares), their vineyard work remains Sustainable, grapes are still always hand-harvested, and vinification remains as hands-off as possible.
The Savoie region of Eastern France is still relatively unknown to Americans. Situated in the foothills of the Alps, this high elevation, mountainous terroir is softened by many nearby lakes which yield a warmer microclimate for these 2,000 hectares of vines.
