Bonnet-Huteau -- Les Bonnets Blancs

A 150 year old medieval dwelling is the home of this wonderful family winery in the idyllic Loire Valley. Current generation Remi & Jacques Bonnet farm their Certified Organic & Biodynamic 40 hectare vineyard with respectful viticultural, low yields, and harvest by hand each year.

Melon de Bourgogne becomes the classic Loire Valley white wine known as Muscadet or Muscadet Sur Lie, which refers to its aging on the lees/the yeast cells. This gives what would otherwise be a searingly acidic experience an undeniable creaminess that when paired alongside raw oysters is one of the world’s finest food and wine pairings. Any seafood dish will be perfect here, or enjoy at the start of the evening no matter what is on the menu later.
