Bodega Bouza -- Tannat

One of the most respected wineries in Uruguay. Owned and operated by the Bouza Family since 2000, was an historic winery originally built in 1940 by Numa Pesquera. Family owned and operated, all of their wines are sourced from their own land. 

This is a textbook Uruguayan Tannat with tremendous purity and sense of place, and is the bottling used by most wine educators around the world when teaching students about the category. Fun! While mellower than its French aunt, this Uruguayan tannat still packs quite a punch. Super full-bodied, dark, inky, & intense.
