The story of this wine is among the most unique we’ve ever had in wine club. I had the pleasure of meeting the winemaker, Hugh Remash, at a wine tasting at my friends’ restaurant, Three Sacks Full last year. His resume in the wine business spans the past 30 years and ranges from retail to wholesale to importing. He’s been a winemaker for the past 20 years, having founded Eagle Harbor Wine Co. on Bainbridge Island. After selling the operation to a trusted and passionate colleague, Emily Parsons, Hugh still couldn’t keep himself away from the grapes. His Aria Syrah from the Rocks District is a beautiful example of the varietal from this unique Washington region. We’ll share more about his story as we learn more about this new project!
