Von Buhl -- Riesling Sekt Brut

Throughout its 170 year history, the Von Buhl brand has lead quite the celebrity life. Some highlights include being served as the celebratory beverage upon the opening of the Suez Canal, to having composer Felix Mendelssohn write about his remarkable experience in the vineyards, to having the 2nd generation son become the first member in the house of Lords in Bavaria, and finally being chosen as one of the wines on the menu to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Queen Mum, Elizabeth Queen Mother. The remarkable history of this wine family began in 1849 with Franz Peter Buhl. His son Franz Armand von Buhl was considered one of the most recognized authorities in all practical viticultural matters and co-founded the German Viticultural Association. Today they continue to be recognized as one of the highest quality wine producers in all of Germany.
