I love this winery. Full stop. Brendan & Laura have such a clear vision of what Aussie wine can become, and instead of sitting back and waiting for someone else to redefine an entire continent’s perception of wine, they’re leading the charge themselves. From their community in Adelaide they give the world’s perception of Australian wine a more true and authentic identity. Not only for a more appropriate food and wine pairing, but for the sustainability of future Australian agriculture at large. By planting varietals that are naturally suited to climates such as South Australia (hot & dry, like southern Italy... the centuries-long research project has already been done for us! We already know which varietals can be dry farmed and retain acidity even in the relentless heat!) they are making it clear to their community and the entire world that sustainability in the vineyard is the right choice for today and more importantly tomorrow.
