itä wines -- Carbonic Zinfandel
itä wines -- Carbonic Zinfandel
*enjoy chilled!*
I am giddy with excitement at this project. A refreshing change from your typical Washington State red – typically high in alcohol, heavily oaked, and highly extracted – itä wines on the other hand are lighter bodied wines with racy acidity, and founder/winemaker Kelsey Albro Itämeri’s low-impact winemaking styles reflects that via early pick dates, a restrained use of oak, and minimal fining/filtration in the winery. I’ve never tasted anything like this from Washington State and I am thrilled to think that we might begin to see more diversity in our incredible home state.
