A lesser known region in a country full of great wine, Franck Decrenisse is a leader in the Coteaux du Lyonnais. This tiny region is often referred to as a southern extension of Beaujolais, it’s northern neighbor. About an hour outside Lyon, the culinary capital of France, the Decrenisse wines are lively, food friendly, and affordable. A relatively young family history at this property, it was founded by Franck’s parents in 1982 and he took over in 1995. Today he works his family’s 37 acres, several of which are over 100 year old vines.

Winery: Prolonged maceration on skins for 15 days (similar to Burgundy), aged 6 months in concrete vats, lightly filtered
